We're making a meaningful difference

What began in 1992 as a single classroom in one of Bucharest’s most marginalized neighborhoods has grown into a trusted community initiative serving children and families in need.

Through Project Ruth, an initiative of Providența Foundation, we provide accredited education, daily meals, health and hygiene support, and literacy programs that help children grow with dignity, confidence, and opportunity. Our long-term presence allows us to walk alongside families and create lasting change where it is needed most.

Ruth School

From literacy to leadership, our school offers a pathway out of poverty and exclusion, especially for Roma children. Students learn in a safe, nurturing environment, supported by meals, uniforms, and mentoring that builds both confidence and belonging.

Bringing books and reading joy to rural communities, the Caravan encourages literacy through storytelling with a fun reading comprehension quiz that keeps children engaged and motivated.
